Paper space in Draftsight V1R3 (Linux Ubuntu) is so slow that is almost unusable!!!

Try this:

1. Create a new empty draw

2. Try to Zoom and Pan in Model Space, you can see that these actions are fluid

3. Switch to Paper Space and try to Zoom and Pan, you can see that these actions are fluid

4. Copy the Viewport and make 3 copies

5. Try to Zoom and Pan, you can see that these actions are very very slow and jerky now. This is particularly true for the Zoom action and for the Pan action when the image is really Zoomed In.
