I've been working on DWG files to export out as DXF but they need some macro information added. To date I've normally done this in DWG Editor and the endpoints that touch but are not joined are able to be snapped to with endpoint snap. However when I open the same file in Draftsight, if the endpoints are touching or within certain distances they seem to automatically join when the file is opened in Draftsight. Is there a setting that causes this, or is this something that I can prevent. I would like to change over to using Draftsight completely, but I find that I am spending far too much time opening intersections back up that were originally open in my original drawing file.
I don't have this problem if the endpoints are at least 1/32" apart, but that's a visible gap in the application that I'm using the files for, so I'd like to have the endpoints touch but not joint when I bring in the file.
it doesn't seem to matter whether the drawing file is comprised of arcs & lines, splines, or polylines.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Jess
