I have been using Draftsight for the last two weeks on a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.6.  Of course it's Beta, but definitely not ready.  I've had a few crashes, difficulties with layer groups, I've not found a way to turn layers off in large numbers, several times it's failed to save.  I work in China, and use a lot of different .shx files, unicode stuff, having some problems with this.  I can't seem to get the layer manager to make layer groups work properly.  The software doesn't play nice with my Logitech Revolution mouse.  Generally, the response time for the program is very slow, and this may be part of my problem with the mouse.

So my question, any idea how long the development program will take to come to a robust product.

I'm am very thrilled to have a native Mac application available, for the time being I use VMware to run cad, which works OK, but I would much prefer a native app.
