1. Copied and pasted a text line from DS into an APP to convert it into a JPG and then into an SVG vector file so I can add CNC tooling that would carve the fonts interior space.
2. Imported the SVG vector file into my Draftsight drawing.
3. The vector conversion created multiple perimeter lines for each letter. Which is common.
4. I am working in 2D only. I have used 3D to rotate so I can see the line "Z" points. All appear joined and at "0".
After importing the draftsight DXF file into my CNC tooling software it is having issues with lapping lines or unconnected points when I try to apply tooling for "inside line" carving.
Even with my editing every line endpoint to the snap location of the adjoining line, the WELD command will not join some of the lines? It will join some but not others?
I've check the "Z" location of the lines and they are all at "0". So there's no plane issue that I can see. I've exploded all the lines thinking that may help but it didn't.
Is there a way to get these lines to join?
The issue is with the white font in the pic.
