v2020 SP2 Broken

I recently updated Draftsight (v2020 SP2, running under MacOS Catalina 10.15.5) and purchased a standard licence. Upon installing the new version of the software, I noted several things are now broken. I first attempted to fix these issues by following a procedure outlined in the support community to do a complete uninstall and reinstall of the software, including all the user/Library entries (and in doing so of course lost all of my configuration settings) but the problems persist. Specifically:

Double-clicking a DWG while DraftSight isn’t already running will start DraftSight and open the file, but in a tiny window that then has to be resized. A minor annoyance.

Drag and drop functionality for scripts is now broken. I routinely create custom-generated scripts to extract 3D survey points from data files provided by outside agencies. I used to be able to execute these scripts simply by dragging the SCR file onto the drawing window, but now need to go through Tools -> Run Script and manually navigate to the script location each time. Again, a relatively minor annoyance, but perhaps one that provides clues to the major annoyance.

The major annoyance is that I can’t now open a drawing while another drawing is open - not by double-clicking it in Finder, not by doing a File -> Open in Draftsight. I get a “loading” popup composed of a grey square with a rotating wheel, but it never finishes loading. I can’t escape out of it and need to force quit Draftsight. This means I have no way to have two drawings open at the same time, so can’t copy elements between drawings. This is a pretty major flaw in and of itself, but a much bigger aspect to this problem is that I now can't print to PDF, because I get the same hang on a spinning wheel behaviour. This is a mission-critical failure and renders Draftsight completely useless for me.

In other words, now that the Mac version is "out of beta", and I paid for it, it's badly broken. Lovely.
