I understand what layers are and I have some files I've received that have layers. I haven't implemented layers yet for my own files. Right now everything I draw is on one layer. I'd like to be able to move, for example, the dimensioning text to a separate layer and my design notes to a different layer as well.

Once I have them on separate layers - I need to export to a .dxf only the layer with the actual design - so the CNC can do its work.
