Unable to set Proxy server for activation on Windows

Hi,

We have multiple users (three so far, but with more once the 30 day trial period is up shortly) with exactly the same problem here. When we try and activate the standalone license, we try and set the network proxy settings, and DraftSight doesn't save the settings.

Process is as follows:

  1. Local administrator installs DraftSight.
  2. Local user (not administrator) tries to run DraftSight. At activation stage, information is greyed out, asking for proxy server settings.
  3. Local user enters proxy server settings, copied from Internet Explorer.
  4. Sometimes, this allows them to enter the activation information. Sometimes it closes DraftSight to start again.
  5. Either way, when DraftSight is opened again, the proxy server information has been lost. So that either the activation which worked in the last step is not valid because DraftSight can't register itself, or the local user is still trying to set the proxy settings (see step 2).

Please, does anyone know where we can set the proxy information manually, either in the registry or in a file somewhere? Or some way to get around this? We're not going to get the proxy server and firewall turned off by our IT department, so that won't work as a solution.

Thanks and regards,

Daniel
