I have an extremely important and heavily used Draftsight file that has been edited and added to by multiple people over the course of several years. This file now has over 190 layers in it that appear to be completely empty, but I'm not able to delete them.

I get the error message "Unable to delete layer. A layer cannot be deleted if it is active, referenced by another element, or contains some entities, or layer 0 or Defpoins".

To the best of my knowledge none of the above conditions have ben met, All of the layers are completely empty and if they are referenced by something or are referencing something I have no idea how to find and delete the references.

I've tried using Laydel, but I still can't delete the layers.

could somebody please explain in the simplest possible terms how I could find any links\\references that are preventing me from deleting the layers and them clear them. I'm not familiar with this part of the software.
