DS v1r5
There is an image transparency option for images attached. This is different, in addition to, than the entity transparency property. You can see this property under "Miscellaneous" in the property panel.
This seems to do nothing at all. In AutoCAD setting transparency to a black/white image makes the white areas of an image transparent : the image of a drawing would then show just as it's black lines - like a reverse alpha channel. In addition those black lines were now rendered in any color just by assigning a color to the image entity.
Back to DS (I used a b/w tif for testing) : DS seems to do nothing at all when changing transparency of new images attached using DS. However when opening an AutoCAD drawing with (same attached tif) the transparency set from AutoCAD
- Black and white seem ok on screen but print reversed, a white background is printed black
- The color set to the black lines in AutoCAD is applied to the white background
