2015 SP1 for mac.

I populate my tool matrix with the tools i want….start drawing.  Make an adjustment to snap settings or text settings anything that requires the preferences window and when I go back to drawing I notice all of the tools I opened in the matrix are gone.  I keep having to add them to the matrix.  Why?  What needs to be set or adjusted to control this behavior.

This is time consuming and impacts productivity.
