With the 2020 version of Draftsight, when using Smart Dimension, if I have a linear dimensions I've started to make but I hit escape, instead of backing out of the last item I clicked, the dimension changes to display an angle.

Is there any way to change it back to how it worked in 2019? This change is super-annoying. It takes extra steps now just to quickly check the distance between two points, and it sets me back if I click the wrong thing by mistake. All this to make it easier to display something I never need.
