SVG export - printed area problem

Hello,

I've encountered a problem when using the SVG print. When I print using SVG, everything works fine, the print preview looks good. But when I open the svg file (using Inkscape) printed objects are not in the selected paper size area, but are located to right and down. They are also scaled up. It doesn't matter which paper size I choose (tried ISO A3, ISO full bleed A3, ANSI full bleed D) or orientation (landscape or portrait). The size of the paper is exported correctly to svg, but not the geometry. I tried opening svg files in Inkscape, Firefox and Chromium. The problem was in all of them.I could reproduce the problem on Draftsight V1R2.1 under linux, Draftsight V1R3 linux and Draftsight V1R3 Windows Vista.

When using File > Export > SVG file, the geometry is right in the middle of svg file, but you loose lot of control over the export (paper size, printable area, print styles, batch plotting, etc.).

Does anyone have a workaround for this problem? I'd like to have my geometry in the .svg file in the visible area of selected size.

Tom
