I am trying to use DraftSight to output SVG for use with a laser cutter. This laser cutter does not accept DXF or DWG. The problem is that though the dimensions are correct in DraftSight, when an SVG is exported, correct dimensioning is lost. When two related parts are uploaded to the laser cutter their dimensioning is no longer related. As a check, I loaded the SVG files exported from Draftsight into Inkscape, and also opened them in Chrome browser. In both cases, it was clear that the SVG files were mis-dimensioned, so it is definitely a product of the SVG export function.

I searched for this issue on this forum and found a related problem which someone from DS said they were able to replicate, and had added to the development queue. In 2012. Any way to fix this?
