I just cannot get a spline to stretch.  From my experience with Autocad, I expected stretch to be a one-directional scale (e,g X only or Y only, or along a line), but all it will do is move the spline.  I've tried using a crossing window to select, selecting stretch first, selecting stretch last, individually selecting the Ehandles, nothing works!
