I am trying to create a new drawing from an existing Autocad 2007 drawing.

The original has a large MTEXT box in paper space which I want to edit. The drawing has been saved as R2013 but the text editing is extremely slow in Draftsight yet fine if opened in Autocad.

I tried copying the text into notepad to remove the formatting, drew a new text box, pasted it back in, but to no avail.

Oh, and I uninstalled Draftsight and re-installed it, still the same.
