Can anyone provide some setup guidance for using the Draftsight APISDK?

I know that there is some information here:

I am using Visual Code Community edition and the referenced documentation is for Visual Studio. This means that I can't use the plugin template wizard. 

If anyone is familiar with creating addons or using the SDK... or even knows someone that is familiar with using VSCode and the API I'd like to have a discussion.

I don't have any real expectations for support on this topic but I'd be grateful to hear from someone that could give me some pointers for getting setup
