I'm currently working on updating current files we have to include text for part numbers. The problem I'm running into every time I open a new file I have to open up options, change the font, add a new layer, name the layer, change the color if I want and then finally apply the new layer to the text. Is there a faster and more efficient way to do this? I have to imagine there is a way to change the default font setting and also the layers. I'm not creating a new file so a template won't work.
