Hi, I am wondering whether there is a way to create a script file to automate the 'smartselect' function ? I am trying to work through a pile of circuit drawings and count how many blocks are used. I am using the smartselect tool to do this but each drawing contains a lot of block types and having to select each block type individually is proving very time consuming. I was wondering whether there would be a way to create a script that calls up the smartselect tool, sets the initial select properties to 'entire drawing', 'block reference', 'name' and '=Equals' and then cycles through the listed blocks, sending the block name and count to a text file.

I have watched Ravi's video about script files and it does not deal with setting dialogue box options within the script and the command window does not give any indication of the selections made, so does this mean that it is not possible ?
