Due to my newbieness this is probably a can't see the forest for the trees answer coming back at me but here goes: I'm trying to create some drawings for parts that run from 24" to 60" on A size paper. In Options>Drawing Settings>Drawing Scale List there is a scale shown as 3" = 1' 0" and some others that would work but I don't know how to set this as my scale. I've moved them to the top, tried "Reset" and everything I could think of but DS just stays highlighted on the 1:1 scale. Can the scale be changed? Sure would like to be able to simply enter 24 for a line length and it automatically scale to fit on the page.
With no success at using that scale I set my boundary at 8.5 x 11 but drew my part at full size. The Idea was that once done, I'd be able to scale it all down to fit the A size. Scaling down to size is no problem but the dimensions change accordingly. Is it possible to scale down without changing all my measurements? BTW - it seems the circles did not scale (or maybe the rings/or both). I can print the part out with fit to page when at full size, but the scaled down drawing is desired in order to print with my title block and border contained on another layer.
