I draft mostly survey plots, so the pre-determined scales are out for me. I draw everything in model space (actual scale) then place them into a layout of a specific paper size (in a view port) in a scale based on the size of the map. In AutoCad, I would make the model space active, zoom, then enter my scale (1/X -->xp (ie- X=480 --> 1" = 40' ), and my drawing would print at a 1" = 40' scale. I think I know how to accomplish this, but would like some feedback? What is the correct way to scale a view port on a paper space drawing?!? - THX
