New to DraftSight coming from TurboCAD. How do I resize a rectangle? In TurboCAD I have dimensions at the bottom of the screen, I just type in new ones and the rectangle size changes. So far I see no way to do this in DraftSight. There are scaling and stretch commands etc but these are not particularly useful in many cases. Simply typing in the new dimensions is much simpler, is there a way to do this in DraftSight?
Also, is there any way to change the length of a line directly? In TurboCAD I just select it and type in a new length, in DraftSight it seems I have to go to properties and change the start/stop points. Again, I can use scaling etc but I may not know the multiple needed to scale the line. For example if the line is currently some arbitrary length like 3.1731 I don't know what to put into scaling right off the top of my head to make that become 4. In TurboCAD, I simply select it and type 4. Is there a way to do this in DraftSight?
Thanks,
mk
