Rename existing block without using rename command?

I have a drawing with a large number of blocks that were created using the Cut/"Past as Block" method. So, they have block names like A\\\$C12345. I want to rename them so they have the same name as some text inside the block (A part #), and I realize I must manually rename them.

However, the block editor just shows me a list of the blocks. So, I cannot use that method, because I cannot see the text inside the block. If I look at the properties of the block, I can see the block name, but the properties window won't let me rename it there.

Because the blocks are already arranged on a drawing of a CNC table, I can't just explode and create a new block. I must rename them.

In BricsCAD, I would use the drawing explorer to see both the list and quantity of each block. But, I cannot find a similar feature in Draftsight. The advantage of the BricsCAD drawing explorer is that when I select the block, it will show me an image of the block. Is there something comparable in Draftsight?

Alternatively, is there any way to rename a block that I select? Or a way to see the block while I am renaming it?
