Has anyone come across the following issue?

Whenever the save documents as type is set to R12 Binary Drawing (*.dxf) and the application is closed thereafter, the save documents as type changes to R12 ASCII Drawing (*.dxf). All other file types do not change.

Is there a reason why this happens? Changing the settings all the time is a pain and causes broken references as well.
