I have been developing add on applications for other CAD applications since 1989 (yes, I am old but still more than 20 years from retirement).

I installed draftsight to create drawings for my own use. I had not researched the software, just noticed it on the net. Not only is draftsight a fantastic CAD application it also includes a dot net managed API. The add on possibilities I could develop are endless. But ... before I start developing, I need to know from draftsight, may I go ahead and give away the add ons for free? are there restrictions? I intend to provide these:

1 .. a set of 3d object creating and editing functions

2 .. a set of CAD productivity functions (similar to toolpac)

3 .. a Civil Engineering add on focusing on DTM, earthworks and road design

I will not start development until I get the green light from draftsight.
