I have spent several day getting DraftSight configured and working like I want it to. I have updated ALL my drivers and everything works wonderfully well--until I use the "fill" feature in the Hatch/Fill box. The gradient fill looks beautiful, but after using it the cursor, select, and most everything else I try on my <85K drawing slows to a near halt. DraftSight becomes so sluggish it is impossible to use. If I delete the "Fill" and replace it with a solid hatch DraftSight returns to it lightning-fast self.

I am using an HP laptop with an i5 processor and 8g of ram. I can use either the standard Intel HD graphics or ATI Mobility HD Radeon 5650 graphics with 1g of video ram. The fill problem occurs with either driver.

Everything else I have tried--every old or new AutoCAD file works without the slightest hiccup. Only the "fill" option in Hatch/Fill gives me any problem.

Anyone know how to fix this?
