Trying to assign a print configuration to multiple sheets the help page is as follows:-

To assign a print configuration to one or more Sheets:

1. In the Print Configuration Manager dialog box, click Assign to to associate Sheets with print configurations.
2. In the Assign Print Configuration dialog box:
   1. In the Configuration list, select a print configuration.
   2. Select the corresponding check boxes to assign Sheets to the selected print configuration.
   3. Click Apply.
3. Click Close. 

There is one problem with this, I don't have an "APPLY" button on the configuration list page, just an OK button and this does not work. 

Also each time the file is closed and re-opened, the drawings all revert back to the default configuration which is not compatible with the drawing sheets in use.

Is it possible to edit the default config and how?
