Problem executing DraftSight in Fedora

Greetings.  I am having trouble getting DraftSight to execute, after what was an (apparently) clean install.

System is 32-bit Fedora 14 with GNOME.

Installed draftSight.rpm as root using "rpm -i draftSight.rpm 2>error.msg".rpm reported:

        Set application as default for the user=pete

        Set application as default for the user=pete

        Set application as default for the user=pete

[3 separate instances of the message]

File "error.msg" is 0 bytes in length.

DraftSight icon appears in the Graphics menu, but does not respond to mouse clicks.

Attemps to run draftsight from the command line (as either "pete" or "root") get the following message:

        /opt/dassault-systemes/draftsight/bin/draftsight.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libDDKERNEL.so.1: cannot enable executable stack as shared object requires: Permission denied

LibDDKERNEL files have the following attributes:

        lrwxrwxrwx. 1 root root       18 Dec 27 05:41 libDDKERNEL.so -> ./libDDKERNEL.so.1

        -rwxr-xr-x. 1 root root 41042398 Oct  9 01:47 libDDKERNEL.so.1

Attempts to change ownership as root ("chown pete:pete libDDKERNEL*") do not resolve problem.

Attempts to change permissions as root ("chmod 777 libDDKERNEL*") do not resolve problem.

Ownership and permissions have been returned to as-installed state.

I have successfully installed the 64-bit Windows version on my Windows 7 system at work, and have been pleased with the performance so far, but I can't seem to get the same functionality on my home system, which is strictly Linux.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
