I could have sworn this used to work, not sure precisely at what point it stopped. I tried reinstalling and it didn't help. I'm on V1R5.2 x64.
If I go to Print, select either PNG or JPG from the Printer dropdown, and tick both "Fit to paper size" and "Print on center of paper" I'll get nothing in the Preview window or in Print Preview. It works fine if I select an actual printer, or a PDF printer and use the auto-fit settings.
Example: http://i.imgur.com/jSKlXBO.png
This is a drawing with a 120h x 160w rectangle as the outer bounds of the geometry. If I choose 1600x1200 pixels as the paper size, and tick Fit to paper size, *in theory* I should get a scale of 10:1 and "Print on center of paper" should use x=0 y=0.
This is what I get if I manually enter those values: http://i.imgur.com/FRsH8YG.png
As a side note, it doesn't seem to want to show anything in Print Preview if the entire drawing does not fit on the desired page size but that's sort of another issue. So I scaled it down and moved a little so my "A" sheet fits entirely within the 1600x1200 bounds shown in the Preview box: http://i.imgur.com/ibXm4kE.png
So that works, but I shouldn't have to manually adjust these. If I don't care about the scale, just want to print out whatever's in "print range" as big as possible given the desired image size, this should work.
Could this have anything to do with the problem: http://i.imgur.com/McTx0vs.png Either the "printable area" or the fact that "units" shows "millimeters"? No idea.
