I thought monochrome.stb was supposed to print in black. Occasionally in AutoCad, a block inserted in my drawing would be color, alone in the drawing.
In Draftsight, it's a nightmare to get things to print in black and white. Draftsight even overrides the printer settings.
??Problem: in print settings, monochrome.stb still causes lines in the drawing to plot in color. Searching for a solution, though I have been going about this in a somewhat disorganized way, I here are some solutions:
Solution 1:
using NAMED PRINT STYLES, select all objects, switch print style to 'monochrome.stb>style1' then all the lines plot in black EXCEPT dimension lines and extension lines. These must be manually edited to 'white'.
Solution 2:
using NAMED PRINT STYLES, select all objects, change color>white
Solution 3:
using COLOR-DEPENDANT PRINT STYLES, ?select all objects, change color>white
Solution 4: (best I think)
copy monochrome.stb from AUTOCAD and paste over monochrome.stb in DRAFTSIGHT. That worked for some reason, now monochrome.stb plots in black.
So if anyone can help me understand a better way to do this, I would appreciate it. The Draftsight HELP is brief on the subject.
