A couple of versions back, I started to see issues with fill (solid hatch) outputting to JPG, PDF, and PNG with very noticeable graininess. I have DraftSight 2018 SP2.1 installed. Another drafter in my group has a 2015 version installed that seems to work properly.
I am creating these images using the "PRINT" command and the built-in processing functions. I have attached a section of an output for reference. It almost appears as if the boundary lines and the hatch layer are being processed using different resolutions or grid settings. The visible offset might be due to rounding errors between the grids. I found instructions on setting the "VIEWRES" parameter, but this only affect what displays on my monitor. It doesn't seem to change the image output at all.
I am wondering if anyone has experienced this and, if so, if there is a fix. I have to embed my image into a Word document so I can't use a DFX or DWG and I have to send it to a Client so it can't look like this. My only workaround has been to use File -> Export to save as PDF (instead of printing) and then convert that to a JPG file in Acrobat. That workflow seems excessive to replace a function that worked before...
