Very frustrating day yesterday but finally found the problem.  I had a block that I created using the Phantom line style.  When attempting to edit the block, program crashed.  Draftsight is now sitting on about a dozen crash reports.  I finally just deleted the block, redrew it with a standard Continuous line and all was well.  Conclusion:  Beware of Phantom lines....:)
