Orbit View in DS Pro

Hello,

I am currently evaluating DraftSight as a replacement for AutoCAD 2024 and I would like to clarify one aspect before making a purchase decision.

My work is primarily 2D electrical installation drawings, so DraftSight Professional would naturally be my first choice. However, I occasionally receive architectural DWG files that contain 3D geometry — walls with thickness, openings, and similar elements, or just single lines — which can be difficult to interpret in a flat 2D view. In these situations, I find it very helpful to simply orbit the view to better understand the geometry, without any need to create or edit 3D content.

My question is: does DraftSight Professional support basic 3D view navigation (such as the Orbit command) for inspecting existing 3D geometry in a DWG file, even though it does not include 3D creation or modelling tools?

If this capability is not available in Professional, I would need to consider the Premium edition, which would of course affect my decision.

Thank you very much for your assistance.
