Hi,

I'm facing a problem with the button mapping in DrafSight with my 3Dconnexion SpaceMouse Pro device. I posted the below posted message on the forum of 3Dconnexion to ask for help. I got as reply that DraftSight is directly communicating to the 3D-mouse and I should ask my question here at the DraftSight community.

Can anyone tell me how to solve this issue as described below? Any help is very welcome!

At my work I use DraftSight to work with older drawings. In my believe there is no supported driver included in the installation package of 3DxWare but as this was always working I assume Dassault Systems included some kind of driver themselves in DraftSight. In the past I used my personal SpaceNavigator and had assigned functions manually to the two buttons via the button mapping option in the menu. Now the company has given me a brand new SpaceMouse Pro to work with. When I tried to assign functions to the buttons I fased the problem that in some way it still reffers to my SN and gives me the option to assign LEFT or RIGHT button. But as soon as I hit a function it turns into blank.

First I checked the driver status. I was still on version 3.16.3 so I updated to the newest driver to see if that could bring improvement; it didn't. Then, with our IT-guy I went into the profiles folder. We first deleted this location completely to see if a fresh profile will improve the button mapping. It sadly didn't work so we went deeper and searched inside the .XML files to something referring to a 3D-controller. We found the one on the added picture.

We deleted the lines referring to the 3D-mouse. But that didn't work as well.Has anybody an idea how to reset the button mapping in order to assign more buttons to my SMP?
