Sorry for such a basic question, I searched but could not find an answer and I've watched the basic video intros. I'm trying to draw a very simple handle. It will be a circular in shape - made on a lathe from a single piece of material. I'm trying to start with a circle, extrude or extend it to be the correct length but can't figure out how to do that.
If someone wanted to provide a simple step by step, it will be 1.5 units in diameter, 5 units long. For finger grips I want to add some regularly spaced radius (arcs?) along the mid-point. Any help would be appreciated.
I did a little drafting in middle school back when dinos roamed the earth. This is my first DraftSight effort.
FYI: I do know I can draw a rectangle as a "top down" view of a cylinder. But can I then extrude that or otherwise define that such that the same object (or copy thereof) can be viewed end-on as a circle with correct (same) dimensions, etc. Any of this make sense?
Many thanks!
