I have been using  various 2D CAD software packages (especially Autocad) for over 15 years now and I have found it very efficient to setup my mouse buttons like so:

Left Mouse Button = Selection (standard function)

Right Mouse Button = Enter / Repeat Last Command

Middle Mouse Button = Entity Snap (AKA Object Snap) Menu

I have been able to work like this in DraftSight in the past. However, now it does not work anymore and I am unable to specifically customize the actions of my mouse buttons. I have already tried wiping and re-installing DraftSight (V1R5.1 x64) as well as searching the registry and DraftSight xml settings files for solutions.

I believe the ability to specifically customize mouse button functions on mice with more than two buttons would be very useful to users. Or could there be an API solution to customize mouse button functions?

 UPDATE: I have been able to create a work around by setting Fast Enter Behavior click time to a large number so the shortcut menu effectively never appears when I right click.
