I am using DraftSight 2019 and I need to dimension text positions for engraving and initially place the dimensions at the insertion point of the text. I then need to be able to move the grip so that the line is not crossing through the text. I have Ortho on (F8) and when I move the grip, it moves to where the pointer is, not along the orthogonal line. So, a dimension of 56 , for example, on the Y axis will change to be 55.73, or some other value, depending on how accurately I can position the pointer. This never happened with DraftSight 2018. I also find that the text gets selected when I click to move the dimension grip, although it doesn't move.
