Each time DraftSight launches it sends a message out over the internet or at least it attempts to. I assume that it is sending a message to Desault Ssystems (who else would it be trying to contact). It then waits for a acknowledgement. My access to the internet is via Wireless Modem and it sometimes is not connected to the internet. In that case when Draftsight launches it sends a attempts to send a message over the Internet and the network manager window pops up saying that access to the internet is not available. Draftsights sits there with the in the splash screen until someone clicks 'OK' in the network access manager window. This happened during a batch process of 3,000 files. So I wake up to find that I have to spend two hours watch the batch process after I click 'OK'. My question is: Is there a way to eliminate DraftSight's "Mother, may I?" calls to the internet ?
