I'M trying to make changes to a blocks in my drawing example: rotate attribute or change the height or color of the text.

I have tried click on block then right click and then selected edit block to modify the attribute but this will effect all future inserts of this block while in this drawing and not the one I'm working on? 

I'm allowed to move an attribute by selecting the grip of the attribute but can not make other changes that only effect that block

Is there something I'm missing or is there a different command I should be using?
