When I measure a line segment that is drawn at an angle other than vertical or horizontal, the answer is expressed as x=,y=, z=0 rather than the measurement of the segment it'self.  Why is that? Autocad gives you the measurment of the  line segment at whatevever the angle the line is drawn.
