Hi guys
I didnt find this topic in this community but its been driving me nuts for months now. Since the upgrade to V1R3 ( further upgrade to V1R3.1 didnt help either ) my MacBook Pro was getting CPU usage of close to 400% when browsing files in Finder. I had to to safe boot once a week to get it to normal but after couple of days the CPU was going crazy again.
Today I accidentally found in console log several Quicklookd records of crashed QuickLook Helper that looked like this.
Process: quicklookd [842]
----
Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000
Application Specific Information:last threaded generator: com.3ds.draftsight.qlgeneratorquicklookd seems struck trying to quit, crashingqlmanage --diag 6571367.600959 6571367.423911 6571367.2154160 6571367.2374289 6571367.1167533 6571367.747743 6571367
Deleting the /Applications/DraftSight.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/FxQuickLookDrawing.qlgenerator/Contents/MacOS/FxQuickLookDrawing file solved the problem but the QuickLookHelper still tries to search for the file to generate preview.
[QL] Can't load plug-in at file://localhost/Applications/DraftSight.app/Contents/Library/QuickLook/FxQuickLookDrawing.qlgenerator/: The bundle “FxQuickLookDrawing” couldn’t be loaded because its executable couldn’t be located.
Maybe debugging the file ( or taking the good one from previous versions ) would help.
Hope this helps somebody
