I have attempted several times to raise a ticket with DraftSight Support, and each time the following screen comes up and it NEVER moves forward.
I have posted the following in the forum and I am going to post again since I cannot get a ticket sent to DraftSight.
When I select something in a large drawing, it will move. I'm not clicking and dragging the entity.
Example: I have a rectangle, and I click to select two of the sides. The endpoints and center point of each of the lines are identified. When I move my mouse, the lines I selected will move and drop to where I stop the mouse. I did NOT click and drag them, I have just selected them and then moved my mouse to select something else on the screen and the selection will move. And the endpoints and center points are no longer identified, like the move is over (that I did not initiate) and it is ready for my next command.
This is a very large plant layout drawing, about 150,000 KB. I'm not sure if that is adding to my issues or not.
From the forum, I was given the following suggestion:
Regarding your issue, could you please try below solution and see if it helps:
1. Launch DraftSight
2. Type _openglprofile>enter
3. In Graphics information window select ‘OpenGL Core’.
4. Restart the application and check.
If you are still facing the issue, please raise a ticket directly from DraftSight website:
https://www.draftsight.com/support/request-form
You will receive an automatic reply with a Service Request number.
I tried this and it did not solve the issue. I have not had an issue like this until I got my new registration and DraftSight 2025. Mouse gestures was "on". This seemed to help on another users computer with this drawing but it did NOT on my computer. Something else is "clicked" or selected on an option screen that shouldn't be???
I have tried several times and the lines will move even though I did not click and drag. When I hit the UNDO, the command line shows "Undo DROPGEOMETRY".
When I type in "DROPGEOMETRY" or search for it, it is an unknown command.
This is extremely frustrating and only seems to happen on this drawing AND only since I updated to DraftSight 2025.
