This iquestion serves to illustrate an annoying point with comments counting.

The question has two answers.

Each answer has been commented the first twice; the second once.

Beneath the first answer the comment count correctly shows that this answer has been commented twice.

Beneath the second answer the commnet count (incorrectly in my view) shows “3”.

This is the sum of the total comments that have been made but conveys the impression that there are three comments to this answer when in fact there is only one.

Is there something wrong with the way the comment count system works?
