Currently we use the free version of Draftsight to do the things Solidworks can't, like edit .dwg/dxf drawings from customers (without having to convert them)., simple sketch scaling, and drawing simple connection diagrams with blocks (that doesn't become dead slow after inserting 40 connection lines)?
It would be nice if DSS would consider adding a license for draftsight to each license of Solidworks. I really hate having to go looking elsewhere for a simple 2d package for the "once every 2-3 month" job that needs to have CAD capabilities that Solidworks has become unable to do.
I guess nanocad is starting to look like the only alternative
