I have just started to look into DraftSight free and allthough I am not even scratching it's surface, I think that this is the perfect tool for my personal needs.
A problem, or rather, mild inconvenience I've encountered is that I am not able to find a way of displaying measurement units after numbers.
The closest thing I have been able to adjust yet are the settings under 'Drawing Styles'>'Dimension'.
Under the 'Linear Dimension' group I can configure what Format to use (decimal in my case), things like the precision, and a little bit about how the units are displayed.
I could add the suffix "m" for meters, but I don't think this is what I want, because it would a) be static, so even if I would change a measurement to lets say centimeters, it would still display the "m", and also, it appends the suffix to all values, and '90°m' is not something I desire.
It would be great to have an option to automatically choose the correct unit format based on length (things like 0.9m are automatically displayed as 90cm).
What would be the correct way of setting a functionality like this up? Am I going to need to write my own extension for that?
