Is Draftsight Component synonamous with AutoCAD Block?

I am struggling to understand what is described in the help file regarding blocks. Is it possible that the Draftsight term "Component" is exactly synonymous with AutoCAD's block?

Also, in the classic interface, if I double-click a block, the block editor opens. But, I can't find a toolbar that will give me the icons to exit and save any changes, or even exit the block editor at all. I can currently only get out by using undo. In the help file, it says,

"In-place editing lets you modify the definitions of Components, which are Block definitions"

And in the help file, I keep seeing the word "component" along with blocks. Bu the help file index doesn't have the word "component".

I think what may be making some of this more confusing is that Mechanical is integrated. I am not very familiar with it. But I think it creates special block definitions for the components of a mechanical assembly.

I know "refedit" will allow me to do in-place editing. I tried the keyboard commands "refclose" and "refsave", but they are not commands in Draftsight. So, what should I type to save my edit?

Is there a toolbar I can activate in the classic interface, to give me icons for in-place editing, or to use the block editor?
