Just wanting to know if Draftsight is a good fit for what I typically need to do, because it might be overkill, and I might actually have an easier time with a pencil (yes, I'm an old geezer). I most often need to make a reference drawing of a small electronic product, mainly illustrating where all the user controls are, along with appropriate labels. Perhaps I'll draw some arrows pointing to those controls with numbered circles, which the product manual can the explain. Sometimes there are controls or other features on the side of a device, so then I might draw an angled view to show the front and one or two sides, so that one drawing can satisfy all the needs of the product manual. But I'm certainly not going to need any real 3D features like rotation. I'm almost thinking a freehand drawing program might be easier to work with than a CAD for that kind of work. Any thoughts?
