Sir,
Appreciate your help and support. If you keep providing this excellent support by email back in reasonable time, your product will beat all software hands down. I had a few suggestions/questions, which I will post on the DS community as well. There are some questions which you might have answered, so apologise for repeating them again.
1. Dimesions are not matching/fit to sheet size.
2. How to set the default colors for dimension, arrow and text?
3. How to make Display Locked work?
4. When we click on the Sheet view, the print area is shown in dotted lines. How can we remove this print area/dotted lines? ACAD has this feature to turn on/off the print area.
5. How can we print all sheets with just one print command, instead of individually printing each sheet?
6. Any way we can change the distances to snap for snap settings?
7. It would be very good if we can first copy an entity, and then right click. A command in the right click menu should come up "paste as block". This will make making blocks very quick and fast.
8. Plot styles, color dependent styles are complicated. Good if it was made simple. Also not reliable. For example if you make a Print Style named Style 1, then save the color property in print styles, and click ok. Again after you close the file and open again, and then go back again to Print Style Table Editor, the check Style 1, the LineColor will have Use Entity Line Color option. So it never gets saved. All this should be made more simple to understand and use. I am an experienced ACAD user, but still face difficulty in using print styles and color dependent print styles on DS. Newcomers will take too much time to learn.
9. Grayscale does not work, so that the drawing prints in black and white. There should be a monochrome option same as in ACAD.
10. Print style table does not get saved.
11. One of the important points that DS should have the same templates/sheet formats same as the SW template/sheet formats, A, B, C , D and E (or metric sizes). This will help a person to make a DWG drawing exactly same as a SW drawing. Currently I am facing this problem, as DS only as two templates, standard and standardiso. We should be able to put in metric and imperial templates, and these templates should be same as SW. If I use an ISO A1 template sheet in SW, then there should be an ISO A1 template sheet in DS as well. And all the fonts, arrows, settings etc. in DS should be same as in SW templates. So that people do not have to make special changes in the DS template all the time to match it with the SW templates (which are hard and time consuming). This will help a company to standardise its template settings (fonts, arrows, sizes etc. with respect to the sheet), so that if a person works in either SW or DS template, he will be sure that both the documents when printed will look same.
12. When we are working in the sheet view, there should be a model/sheet tab so that we can change the environment by clicking on the tab, instead of clicking in and out of the viewport. This tab should be in the same line as snap, grid, ortho at the bottom of the screen.
13. When printing with Adobe PDF printer, the printing is good. But when priniting with PDF Creator - Premium Edition....the printing is very bad.
14. No page setup option is there under file menu, which can be used to make a default page setting for a template.
Regards,
Lakhvinder
