Does anyone have a reliable workflow for importing PDFs into Draftsight?  I’m trying to do the equivalent of “PDF Underlay” in AutoCAD.  In AC I can import a PDF, scale it, and then draw on top of it.  This is very handy for projects where you have “image” PDFs of hand drawn prints from 1947.  Also useful when all you can get from a client are PDF prints.

I am having mixed results when I try to use the INSERT OBJECT option.  Sometimes I get a PDF that I can see and scale.  Sometimes I get just a white blank sheet.  Sometimes I get just an outline, sometimes I get a message “ path/filename.pdf does not exist” even though I can see it in the preview pane (and of course the file does exist and can be opened in Adobe). 

I have tried opening in Acrobat and saving as PNG image then using INSERT REFERENCE IMAGE with similar results.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a good workaround?
