I need to create a drawing of a shaft that is quite long relative to its diameter and has quite a few features such as shoulders, keyways, threads, etc. If I were drawing this manually, I would draw it "condensed" with the longer sections drawn shorter than the actual length with "squiggles" in the middle indicating that those sections are not to scale. I'm not sure exactly what the term for this is and I don't know how to do it in DraftSight. In case my description isn't clear, I attached an image of a sketch that shows what I'm trying to produce in DraftSight. Can anyone suggest how to do this?
