I'm editing a drawing originally created in AutoCAD. I suspect the problem is related to something already set, but I can't figure out what it is.
When I insert a note, by default the text comes out vertical. It is set to top left, but thinks the top left is the top right, it even puts the ruler to the right of the text box (although the formatting stuff is on the top).
I can workaround by after clicking the first point of text box, select the Angle option, and set to 0 (whereas the default is 270), then select the second corner of text box, then all is well. I don't want to have to specify this angle every time tho, how can I set default to 0?
I've already checked format/text style/text and under orientation its set to angle 0, vertical is not checked (and is in fact greyed out). From what I determined by trial and error, that angle setting affects the angle of the individual characters, not the actual orientation, and that vertical checkbox is for some other type of font.
The same 270° default angle occurs for simplenote too.
